Abdurrahman Depeler was born in Konya in 1982. Encouraged by his grandfather, the late calligrapher Abdullah Rıza, he started taking lessons from calligraphy master Hüseyin Öksüz in 1999. He graduated from the Selçuklu İmam Hatip High School in 2000. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Selçuk University’s calligraphy department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2005.
