This impressive calligraphic frame unites the expression "La kuwwata illa billah"—found in verse 39 of Surah Al-Kahf and serving as a powerful sanctuary and reminder for believers—with the elegance of Islamic calligraphy. This Quranic verse frame will bring both spiritual depth and aesthetic richness to your walls.
This phrase represents one of the foundational pillars of Tawhid (the oneness of God). It signifies man recognizing his own helplessness and believing from the heart that Almighty Allah is the absolute possessor of all power, success, and influence. Knowing that the sole possessor of power is truly Him protects the believer from arrogance and turns their heart toward Him.
The context within Surah Al-Kahf, where the verse appears, further strengthens the impact of this phrase. This sentence is one of the pieces of advice given by a believing friend to an ungrateful man who grew proud of the gardens, wealth, and children bestowed upon him, even attempting to deny the Hereafter: "When you entered your garden, should you not have said, ‘MashaAllah, La kuwwata illa billah (What Allah wills comes to pass; there is no power except with Allah)’?" This warning emphasizes that when blessed with abundance, one must not grow boastful or attribute strength and success to oneself, but rather constantly remember that everything is possible only through Allah's grace and the power He bestows.
Scribed in the Jali Thuluth script style and mirrored (müsenna) composition, this noble verse was brought to paper through the reed pen of Calligrapher Osman Özçay. The Surah Al-Kahf Verse 39 calligraphic frame is reproduced in our workshop with fine art print quality from the original piece prepared by the artist in 2007 and presented to art lovers.
