The Basmala—a phrase cherished on the lips of all Muslims that brings abundance into their lives—meets sized (ahar) paper through the magnificent composition and craftsmanship of Calligrapher Osman Özçay. Penned in a pear-shaped (armudi) composition in 2009, the artwork features illumination crafted by illuminator Arda Çakmak. In perfect harmony with its illumination, the subtle tonal transitions of the brown ink on paper reveal the graceful glide of the master's reed pen. The Basmala calligraphic frame is reproduced from the artist's original work and presented to art lovers.
