In Surah Taha, Verse 114, our Lord proclaimed the value of knowledge and the Scholar (Alim) by stating: "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" But who is a true Alim? Contrary to popular belief, an Alim is not merely someone who possesses vast information, but someone who internalizes that knowledge and reflects it in their life. Highlighting this, our Lord states in Surah Fatir, Verse 28: "Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge (the Scholars)." In essence, knowledge alone does not bear meaning. It is the transition from knowledge to action, and from action to sincerity (Ihlas), that elevates a person in the sight of Allah. Thus, a human gains true worth through knowledge. As the Prophet (pbuh) expresses in this Hadith, the rank of knowledge is naturally superior to all other ranks.
